Polish friends living on the street
Aisling, one of our Brussels Serve the City leaders, discovered a group of 5 Polish people living on the street, under the E411 behind Carrefour on Blvd Souverain. She has visited them several times, brought them spaghetti, prayed with them, and enjoyed their company. I met them last Saturday and took some of Vittorio's Christmas boxes for the poor. Blankets for Pakistan was a success!
On Monday 14 December The Well in Brussels hosted Blankets for Pakistan to raise money for Christians attacked in August in Gojra, Pakistan. 10 were killed and over 1000 left homeless when attacked by 15,000 Muslim extremists. Like many Muslims, Christians, and others around the world, we deplore the loss of human life and needless suffering when anyone is persecuted or harmed in any way for their faith.

We did it!
Thanks to the Well faith community tonight in Brussels, the South Africa team has the money they need to finish the renovation on the home for their team to live in. We asked 'what would Jesus want for Christmas?' and suggested he would want us to remember the poor. We made a passionate plea to support the SA team who needed 2100 euros. We collected 1285 and presented it to Lourens and the team, and immediately afterwards two people gave 200 + 725 (a loan) - and we were there! Many thanks to all… Continue

Hi all,
As the Founder/Director for Serve the City I thought I needed to see firsthand what the Cape Town team was doing, so in September I went to visit them - and I was amazed! They are doing fantastic work and I really want to see them succeed. I've been in the house they are renovating and it definitely needs the work, but they are doing a great job. I can assure you that any investment in the Cape Town Serve the City team will go a long way! In many ways, I'm convinced that what Serve the… Continue

I don't know if I got it all wrong, but I waited from around 1pm ti 2pm outside the centre d'epee (by the big lift?) on Saturday.... tried ringing the door-bell several times and headed home as it was getting unbearable cold and I have no tel. nrs for anyone of you!!
